		<description>Hello  - I came across your site after doing some family research recently.  My father worked at the incinerator probably from about &#039;38 to &#039;48 walking there and back from Naremburn most times to save tram fare.   He was an Irish emigrant (1924) and had a large family.
Years later I worked in Pyrmont myself in the office of a factory in Pyrmont St for about six years and met my wife there.
Pyrmont was a nice place in the 60&#039;s with a lot of working class families, many who worked where I did, and I remember a huge number of pubs in the area.  I thought it could have become another Paddington as the area changed but was sacrificed to progress and has become another North Sydney!
